Not sure what to say?

Dear Mrs. Comeau, Margaret, Alison, Kathleen and family:

My sincere sympathy on the loss of a husband, father and grandfather. It is clear from the guest book entries that I've just read, he deeply touched the hearts of his former students, as well as those of his family.

As for me, I have fond memories of your father when you and I were childhood friends, Margaret... I remember his 'sunny' disposition, his musicality... and I can clearly remember how he said your name!...

Je suis le fils de son fr?re Philias. Je m'apelle Alyre et je vis en France depuis 1955. J'ai eu le plaisir de le recevoir ? Marville (1 fighter wing). On a passer un bon moment ensemble.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Maurice Comeau. Maurice was the younger brother of my step father Philias Comeau . He was also a schoolmate of mine a St. Anne's College and an army buddy. More importantly, he was my friend.

Many great memories. God Bless.

Dad was a very caring and loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, brother and son. Next to his music, he loved his family above all else. His sense of humour, kindness and generosity was only surpassed by his extraordinary intelligence, talents, skills and accomplishments. Everyone who knew him always liked him. He was always there with kind words of support, excellent advice and words of wisdom. He was a very special person, one of a kind, and we will miss him very very much.

As much as I would have liked to be with you at this time, the trip would have drained me completely, and I must be back at work Tuesday. Please accept my sincere condolences, tante Trees, Mike, Mona, Helen and Marguerite. As you may know, I gather old family stuff. It was but two weeks ago that I came upon two letters that Maurice had written to tante Rosalie during the war. We remember oncle Maurice as a warm, kind person. If you would like copies, let me know. I'm sure the gang is having a...

Maurice Comeau was not only my grandfather and a remarkable musician, but he was the glue that kept my family together. He never hesitated to make anyone's day brighter, to help them learn something new, lighten thier spirit, or just bring out the optimism in smiles. I will forever keep the appreciation in music he gave me. I will always remember him and the time he put out to make everyone happier.

Cher Maurice,
Tu as été un de mes enseignants préférés. J'ai énormément apprécié ce que tu m'as donné. Ta mission d'enseignant tu l'as remplie avec dévouement et passion. Je suis très triste d'apprendre cette nouvelle.

Mr Comeau changed my life. He was my music teacher for 5 years at Belcourt and instilled in me a love of music that follows me to this day. I will always be grateful to him.

I will never forget his dedication to our school orchestra who would practice at 7h30am, even in the depth of an Ottawa winter. He always had time for an extra practice at lunch hour or to go through some duets during his free period. To this day I can't hear Mozart's clarinet concerto without thinking of...
