MAURICE DEANE

I have known Maury when I joined Endo Labs in 1959. He was a magnificent leader, honorable and inspiring to all that met him. In my nearly 50 year career with Endo and DuPont Pharmaceuticals Maury was a great friend, always available for advice and counsel. Our condolences to his wonderful family.

Maury Deane was a classmate in law school. He was always "Mr. Deane" to us then, but he was always kind, approachable, funny, and willing to spend time with us "kids." He was an inspiration, and will be sorely missed.

I began a 30 year tenure at Endo Laboratories in Garden City which began in 1973. I had the pleasure of working under Maurice "Maury" Deane, along with the founder Joseph Ushkow. Maury was indeed a pioneer in the industry. I still have a company accomplishment reward letter of thanks from him. My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and close friends.

Maurice was one of a kind...I'll never forget him, and I treasure our time at Hofstra Law. And that big old Green Cadillac. He loved Hofstra and showed it.

I remember him well from law school - everyone remembered him actually. Firstly, he was always prepared and sharp putting "many a younger gun to shame". Moreover, he was never intimidated by the faculty and would speak to them with the wisdom and experience of a peer. He was a living role model to all of us. May his memory be a blessing.

So sorry to hear this news about Mr. Deane's passing, such an accomplished and charitable individual. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
