Moe died Thanksgiving night of complications from COVID. First and foremost, Moe was a loving husband and father, a quiet man who spoke through his generosity of spirit and giving. He was known for his support of local charities and to causes, including his dedicated efforts for the National...

Not sure what to say?

A tree planted in a forest in need is a fitting symbol of the man we all loved, needed and enjoyed for many years. If only we had more Moe Fieldsteins in the world today. You will always be in my heart, Moe. Please find my dad in heaven and watch over us with the same loving care you always gave. We miss you.

Dear Fieldstein Family, Marcia & Howie Albert and the entire extended loved ones of Moe,

I send this note with my great sadness and heartfelt sympathy!

The visits to Brightwood and wonderful, kind, supportive, unconditional, comfortable, relaxing, non-judgemental,( I could list so many more!) conversations, actions remain my fondest and touching memories of the earlier years of being a new homeowner.

I could share several illustrations of the many...

My condolences to Mark, Jill and your families. May cherished memories of your dear dad provide you peace at this time of sorrow, and always ~

Moe was a wonderful man to know, and to work for

As a customer at Brightwood Hardware, I remember asking Moe if there was anything he DIDN'T have there. He responded that he wanted to be the Western Mass "Spags" (well known in Worcester for those of us in a certain generation). He ran around his store like an energizer bunny. My Mom was friends with his sister Benis while they both lived in Florida. Small world. Sincere sympathy to the family.

Moe was a special person. He was so welcoming when we arrived in town almost 25 years ago, when we knew hardly anyone. His kindness and helpful advice were always appreciated. His presence at Brightwood Hardware was such a gift to the Community of Longmeadow. It warms my heart that he celebrated his 90th birthday this year. We will always remember him, a blessing in the lives of our family members.

Dear Ken and extended family,
I am so sorry about your loss of Mo. A true gentleman who knew how to treat people in a most wonderful way that you had to return to the store for all your needs. I remember that one day I had mentioned that I was thinking about a new gas grille and asked Mo if he had access to them as there were none in his store. He said, “why sure, let me pull out the catalog so we can see what you need.”
Sure enough we found a perfect match to what I was looking for...
