My sincere sympathy and condolences in the loss of Maurice Hines. I met Maurice at Broadway Dance Center when I was dancing with Frank Hatchett. I also when on a audition for Sophisticated Ladies and had no Tap experience at all mind you. My dear friend Shirley Black - Brown did that!! I was told a story by a mutual friend about Maurice and Gregory and Tallulah Bankhead in Las Vegas. I had just had a gouache portrait of her, which I bought at auction, framed. The story was so compelling, I gave it to my friend to gift to Maurice, who called me and thanked me. What a gracious, talented person.

My sincere condolences to the Hines family .Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. I am reminded of the times I viewed Maurice . His dancing ,singing and acting made him a legend . Remembering you and your loved one today and always . May God grant you solace .

Maurice and I were lifelong friends for the last 63 years. He was the most sincere and kindest person I´ve ever known. He was interested in you for you, and once that bond was created, he never abandoned the friendship. I spoke to him even labored just 2 days before he passed.
