Maurice Petty

I had not heard that this legend of a man had passed. I was introduced to stock car racing as a youngster of 5 yrs old by my Dad. Dad was a "Dodge man" and he had me there when we would watch the old Wide World of Sports to catch snippets of any NASCAR race that was televised. The older I got the more I knew about the Pettys and their operation. I was never fortunate enough to meet Maurice...but that did not lessen the respect I had for Maurice. I lived in upstate NY and so access to NASCAR...
