Maurice brought enormous goodwill as he arranged for receptions in towns along the route of the Albany Tricentennial Canoe Trip between LaChine, Quebec and Albany in 1986. It is a tribute to his skills and his good humor that the voyageurs were well taken care of along the route. You are held highly in our memories.

Maurice was one of a kind: warm, welcoming, and a complete gentleman. We spent several occasions with him in the course of the many years that we knew him through La Federation Franco-Americaine du New York. He loved and never forgot his Franco ancestry.
