Read MoreI was blessed enough to take one of Dr. Sill's classes at Marshall in 1970. His lectures and teaching methods were always thought-provoking. This particular class had at least ten members of our ill-fated football team. When school resumed, Dr. Sill handled an extremely difficult situation with dignity and grace. I will never forget his compassion and kindness. He was a truly great man.

Dr. Sil was an outstanding professor with a keen sense of interest in ideas and people. He shaped a lot of my values both through his stories from Peace Corps and his encouragement (class requirement) that we get involved in our communities.
