Not sure what to say?

Maurine was my dearest friend and I reflect often the wonderful times we spent together. We made Hide a Book a national sensation. Her many talents from cooking to the gorgeous machine embroidery We turned into purses. I still cherish the purses she did for me. Family meant the most to her and I enjoyed my time with them. We I was so sorry to have been living in Wenatchee with a failing husband and not at her side but we did keep in touch via our phones. I especially remember her extra...

Maurine and Ed you are both missed. I was fortunate to have known both of you.

The quilting community has lost a wonderful teacher, but her lessons certainly live on in the many beautiful books she authored and the incredible quilts that she created. Not to mention the hundreds if not thousands of quilts she inspired by her teaching. My condolences to the family. What a remarkable woman!

Dear Ed and family, Maurine had a golden heart and gave of herself to so many of us through the years. She was a very dear friend and I am very sorry to have learned of her passing. Know that I send my deepest sympathy to each of you and may you be comforted with great memories from all the many things you did together and fun times shared. Marilyn Milburn

Everything I know about machine quilting I learned from Maureen. She was a great teacher; I will always remember her patience. Her creativity inspired me and I am sure it will inspire others who learn from her books. I extend my condolence to her family. L. Ryer

I met Maurine at a class about 11 years ago. She was very kind and supportive. On Saturday I was in a store and saw her book. Ironically I moved some of the other books to make her book be on top. She will always be in my heart. Take care.

Ed,
Sorry to see in the Times about Maurine's passing. I know that this is a difficult time and you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.
