Dear Pastor Patten and Family, A memory of Maurine popped in my head this morning, out of the blue, and it encouraged me to say hello and share the news that I have become a Grand Ma! When I went into her Facebook, the most recent comment on her page hinted that she had passe, and that is how I came upon her obituary. I am heartbroken to learn of her passing. My sincere condolences go out to Maureen's husband, Al, and to their children and grandchildren. I knew Maureen both as a dear friend and as a life coach in S6camore. We both grew up in Joliet, IL. So we had a lot in common to talk about. Maureen was very helpful, concerned and caring towards me for two decades, while she had her own practice in Sycamore, and on the phone after she retired in St. Charles. We talked on the phone often. Dr. Patten was my therapist when I was going through an exceedingly difficult stage in my life. Her professionalism and kindness changed my life for better. She healed my brokenness and cheered on my progress. I owe her everything. I will always remember her and be eternally grateful for her. My condolences to her family. I can´t imagine what a huge loss she is to you all.
