Not sure what to say?

Mauro was always such a sharp dresser! I will always remember the discussion we had in 1971 regarding the 6 Orient graduates who were killed in Vietnam! He was sincerely moved that they perished at such an early age. Truly a gracious and caring soul! I graduated from Orient in 1963.

In loving memory of a wonderful person. We will love you and miss you always.

2/4/2021 My nephew Spencer Farrens is enrolled at Orient Grade School!!

Just learned of Mauros passing! I graduated from Orient in 1963. One day I sneaked across the street to buy some bubble gum at Millers Store in Orient. Some how Mauro knew I was there. He returned me to school by the earlobe, I was petrified! Never sneaked to the store after that! He was a great man and fair to all!

I want to express my condolences to Phil and Sally and the Potestio family. Phil, although I never met your dad, I am sure his loss is painful. My thoughts and best wishes are with you and your family.

Mr. Potestio saw my potential and supported me through his kindness and provided opportunities of recognition for me. I graduated from Orient Grade School in 1967. He spotted me in the crowd at a Seattle Pacific / U of P game in Seattle. Just as he always had, he had a big smile for me and wanted to know all about my college career. Probably thirty years later, he sat by me at an event at the Piasono Club. He held my hand through dinner as we caught up on old times and new. I will...

My sympathies to the Potestio family. Mauro was such a kind man. I will remember his smile, his flair for dressing, and the way he treated the staff and students at Orient. As a new teacher there, he helped launch my teaching career. I am grateful for his guidance and his caring ways. He will be greatly missed.

Phil, Mike and Maura
Mauro was such a special man. He will always live in our hearts. He was key in Michael's love of Sinatra. If you need anything, we are here for you.
