Mavis Margaret McKinney-Farrand

I met Mavis at Curves in Gibraltar, with whom I easily connected and shared many heartwarming conversations. She supported my daughter´s foundation, Smiles For Sophie Forever, established in memory of her daughter Sophie who passed away in 2007.

Mavis will certainly be missed. I met Mavis through two mutual friends with whom we shared many Catalpa Street brunches. She was always a delight to be with. Rest in Peace my friend as you go gently with the angels.

Mavis was my best friend for 45 years sharing each episode of our lives in laughter and tears. Through all that time, we remained as we always were - in tune n sometimes roaring with laughter or quietly sharing our most intimate thoughts. To say I'll miss her lessens what she means to me. The ache in the 'Mavis' part of my heart is painful. But, the love and friendship is what will heal. There has never been anyone like Mavis in all the people I have known.
