Not sure what to say?

Aunt Mavis was a positive influence in my life as a boy. She always greeted me with a smile and really cared for me. She was sincere and devoted to our family. Praise God for her life with us.

I have a lot of memories of Aunt Mavis. She was always taking pictures when our family went to visit grandpa and grandma at the farm. I always thought she had the coolest camera. I also remember how she never forgot my birthday. She always sent me a card with a letter in it, even when I lived in Boston, every year that card showed up. There was just something about Aunt Mavis that could just make you smile.

I have very fond memories of my cousin Mavis. I didn't see her often, but when I did she was a delight and so enjoyble to sit and visit with. What a joy it is to know she is in heaven with her Savior and I will see her again some day!

I just want to say some amazing things about my sister, Mavis. When our mother, Mabel, had a massive stroke in 1984 Mavis took over as caregiver for our dad, Truman. He had had a tumor near his brain which, I believe, left him not quite himself. Mavis had not, up to that time, been too invovled with his care. Marlene & David:
We were sorry to hear of your loss and We know from experience that it is hard to say good-by but thankfully Mavis loved her Savior.

My family and I had the pleasure of time with Auntie Mavis thanks to my sister Denise arranging for her to move to Georgia. This was no small feat, a logistical nightmare. Anyhow, we had Mavis in our home and visited with her at her apartment in Augusta. Being with her was sort of like being with our beloved Grandma Moxley. Mavis looked so much like her and would tell stories about her so often. Mavis and I did alot of fun things together. I remember taking her to see "My Big Fat Greek...

Dear Moxley Families, You are in my thoughts and prayers. I have many good memories of Cousin Mavis when we were young. We would exchange summer visits. We did chores, played games, went to town, talked alot and had alot of fun together. Mavis was a special person with a big heart and an unforgetable smile. Bless her soul.

I was fortunate to meet Auntie Mavis with Denise. I also remember all of the funny and heartwarming stories of this favorite Aunt. I know she is truly missed and my heart and prayers are with your family in this time of grieving.

Kind regards, Kathy Griffis

Mom and Dad,

I have a lasting impression of Auntie Mavis freely giving that smile that would light up the room equally to family and strangers alike. Her greettings were always a huge, warm welcome "Oh Denise! It's you!" I will remember her sweetness, and miss her most of all.
