Dear Mrs. Bloom: Max treated me from the time I first moved to Rhode Island in the early 60s until his retirement. Among the reasons for my selecting him as my primary care physician, apart from his credential's (carefully considered), was his age at the time, it being my expectation that we would grow old together. I was disappointed when he retired, too early. I always felt we had a special relationship, as he would often keep me as his last patient of the day, talking at length, Max...

I don't know how many times that Dr. Bloom saved my mother's life. He had patience. He was caring and he was tremendously knowledgable and on the cutting edge of cardiac issues. Both my parents thought the world of him. It was a sad day for my whole family when he retired. He dedicated his life to helping others and in turn his family also gave up a lot of their time with him so he could be with his patients. Thank-you all for sharing this extraordinary man with us.
