Not sure what to say?

I had the honor of meeting this wonderful man in 1993. I recently wrote him to get some strength and direction through this time. I was thrilled that he wrote back to me. He represents the greatest of the American spirit: perseverance; loyalty; and kindness.

My deepest condolences to the Cleland family. May you find comfort
in your treasured memories of Max and May God continue to comfort you in the days, months and years ahead.

My condolences.

May you Rest In Peace Max with the Eternal Glory of your faithful service to our Nation.

Thank you Max for all you did for our country. You sacrificed so much but continued to give. You are our Hero.

Thank you max for all you did. It was an honor knowing you for as long as i did. You touched so many hearts, made so many laugh and your legacy will live on forever.

God's Speed my Sweet Friend. My heart is broken. But I know you are walking with His Holy Angels now and that you have both arms wrapped around Jesus as He is embracing you. I'll see you soon.

We share a special friend together in life and in memory. A look into Max's eyes all ways reminded me of who we shared and why he became such a person. The parent of Max filled his tool box with what was needed for him to be exceptional. I will remember the moments when he was near and so full energy. I hope you are able to have breakfast with who we shared once again. Thank you for your time and warmth.
