Max Cleland

When I was a kid and lived in Arlington max use to come to the playground and play basketball,there was a hill and the ball would sometimes roll over the hill and I would chase the ball for him he was a very nice man,sorry to his family for the loss

I had the honor of meeting this wonderful man in 1993. I recently wrote him to get some strength and direction through this time. I was thrilled that he wrote back to me. He represents the greatest of the American spirit: perseverance; loyalty; and kindness.

My deepest condolences to the Cleland family. May you find comfort
in your treasured memories of Max and May God continue to comfort you in the days, months and years ahead.
