Gary and Mark We would like to send our condolences to you on the passing of your Dad and our Uncle. He was a very accomplished Person and will be missed by all who new him.

Gary and Mark,
So sorry to hear about your father's passing. Just remember all of the good times.
David and Gayle Cooley

Uncle Max was a special person who always encouraged young people to look and reach higher than they were currently looking. We know he will be missed as a father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend, and community servant. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and all of your families!

My condolences to Mr. Cooley's family. He was my homeroom teacher and also my bookkeeping teacher for my three years of high school in Sayre Pa. I have many memories of those years as he was a great teacher with a wonderful sense of humor. We who had him for a teacher were very lucky. I had the chance to talk with him again in 2003 when he attended a 1953 class reunion in Sayre. Eva Hotalen Kretsch, (Owego NY)

MR. COOLEY , AS I KNEW HIM WAS MY HOMEROOM TEACHER FOR MY LAST 3 YEARS IN HIGH SCHOOL. I HAVE FOND MEMORIES OF HIM. HE AND RUTH ALSO ATTENDED MY SISTER'S CLASS OF 53 CLASS REUNION IN 2003 AND I HAD THE PRIVILEDGE OF MEETING WITH HIM AGAIN AND SHARE MEMORIES. HE WAS A GREAT MAN. SHIRLEY KEENE JOHNSON

My condolences to the family. I am very sorry for the loss of Mr. Cooley. He was a unique individual. I had the pleasure of knowing Max & Ruth in the late 80's & 90's, while singing on the Appalachian Jubilee; during his time at the Capital Theater. God Bless.
