Not sure what to say?

Max was my landlord until 1990. Being a self supporting nursing student at UCSF, I was always so grateful, he never raised my rent. The building at 200 Arguello was tidy. Max had a Polish friend that came to make repairs once in awhile. Warm, authentic people are not always easy to find. What a blessing to have had Max for 92 years. He was well liked and cherished by his family and friends and will be missed. He always put a smile on our faces, and was fun to be around.

I only met Max once, but it was a privilege I have never forgotten. My condolences to his family and friends.

Max, it was truly an honor to have known you. I was trying to tell my kids about you this week, and it was hard to find the right words to capture the qualities that made you so special: optimism, humor, and the strongest zest for life I've ever encountered. Much, much love to you, and thoughts of comfort to your family.

The Heavens are a little brighter today, with the coming home of a gentle and loving man, Max you will be missed by many.
We didn't know you long, but liked you from the first time we met.
God Bless you and keep you always .

What a great guy! We are heartbroken, take joy in the times we had and are saddened by the times we won't. Rest in peace, dear Max!
