Not sure what to say?

Max is gone, but a long way from forgotten. I think about all the great times we had down at Cloyd Shelley's fish fry get togethers, and some of the slightly goofy stuff we did while on duty at the fire station. I don't think the current firefighters get to have the kind of fun we had, like Dave Pettit and Max trying their best to put old Possumal into the hose tower for a proper soaking. Both Dave and Max were young, strong bulls, and surely they could put an ancient marsupial, all of ...

Aw, Max, you should have seen the last 5 years here on the ground. Would that I could be sitting with you at #5 of long ago, in the kitchen table having lunch. Miss you, big guy.

I want to offer my condolences to the entire Hellmueller family. Max was a truly good friend, very constant in his friendships. He was a true professional in all he was involved in, and always glad to see his friends. I trust the Good Lord will help you all in this time of loss. There has to be ample happy memories to offset the sadness. RIP Max.

FIRST, MY FAMILY'S CONDOLENCE'S AND PRAYERS. ALL THAT KNEW MAX HAVE OWN STORIES BASED ON THERE RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM. MINE ARE MAINLY FOOTBALL AND THE MILITARY. MAX WAS A GOOD FOOTBALL PLAYER, A GOOD SAILOR , WHY HE WAS GOOD AT ANYTHING HE DID. THE WORLD IS A BETTER PLACE BECAUSE OF HIM. HIS FAMILY AND FRIENDS WILL MISS HIM. SO, MY FRIEND MAY FAIR WINDS ALWAYS BE AT YOUR BACK AND THE SUN IN YOUR FACE. OH BY WAY I WILL SEE YOU ON THE OTHER SIDE AND AND WE WILL HAVE A COLD ONE.

My thoughts and prayers are with Barbara and the rest of his family.
May God give you the strength to overcome your sorrow.
With my Deepest Sympathy

Barb, not sure you remember me, but I'm from the old Euclid Kroger. I also helped the Lexington Public Safety Museum for a while. Max was great there. He blessed many and was an example of what service IS and that wasn't just at Lexington Fire!

My heart goes out to your family. I had the great pleasure of serving with Max in the Seabees.....he always cared about everybody......he will be missed.
