Max Katz passed away in Seattle, Washington. The obituary was featured in The Seattle Times on December 30, 2011.
Max was truly a friend and mentor to me over the years at the University of Washington and later into my professional career. His encouragement and friendship was most helpful during my graduate studies. I will miss his dry humor and sharing fishing stories with him.

What a wonderful man your father surely was..I enjoyed reading this because no. 1, he wrote it., 2. Not sure anyone in the old neighborhood quite figured out the Peugeot thing but it seemed to make Max a happy guy and that made 72nd Place a better street.
