Not sure what to say?

Dear Lorraine, Tadd and Kirsten, My heart was sad to hear about Max, his illness and your great loss. He was a great joy to know and fun to laugh with. He was a great bagpiper and I truly admired his skill. God be with you and your family as you deal with his loss. But remember he is Heaven's gain and I know the bagpipe band there just got a lot better.

Max was one of the first people I met when I began working in the lab at Upjohn in the mid 70's. Just the thought of those times brings a smile to my face. He was great fun to be around. My condolences to his family.

I have so many fond memories of Mr. Knuth (Max)! Especially poignant is one of playing "Hearts" with Dean and his parents in their home in Colony Woods. I had been dealt a bad hand, and decided the only thing I could do was to attempt a moon shoot. Well, I got within one card. I thought I had disguised my intent pretty well, but when Max gave me one of "those looks" a couple of hands before the final, I knew that he was on to me and I was done for.
What a witty, intelligent man he...

My Dear Lorraine and family,
It is with a sad heart to hear of Max's death. He was a wonderful man who was so much fun. I remember how he would make puns and then love to hear us groan. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend. May the Lord comfort you during your time of grief.
With much love,
The Balmer Family

Lorraine, Dean and Mark, I'm so sorry. Your Husband/Dad was a joy to be around, all you Knuth's always had a kind word and gave us all a reason to smile. The music shared was a gift to all. Please take care and although I can't be there to give you my thoughts in person, know that I'll be thinking about you all.

To Mrs. K and familiy,
I wanted to extend my condolences on the passing of Max. I will always remember his very unique sense of humor and way of looking at life. Heaven will never be the same now that Max has arrived.

Lorraine, Butch and I extend our deepent sympathy to you and your family. It was an honor to have been your neighbors on Colony Woods for so many years and whenever I hear the bagpipes, I think of Max. You were indeed, great neighbors.

Dear Dean and family,
Please accept our deepest sympathy as you grieve the loss of your father.

Max,it is hard to describe what a wonderful person this man was and how much he will be missed. As cousins we were not close, we were raised across the state from each other and yet we kept in touch for years with Christmas greetings after I moved even further away. Max treated everyone like they were the best and HE Was the BEST. You will be greatly missed and are loved by so may. Go to God in peace you have much to be proud of. Missing you Cousin Nancy Hilaski (nee Knuth)
