Not sure what to say?

Dear Lynne (and Tom),

So sorry to belatedly hear of the loss of your father, Max. I have so many fond, dear memories of good times spent in your house in Syracuse way back. He enjoyed a long life and his good work is reflected in how amazingly often one would run into yet another person who had been an appreciative patient. What various gifts he had and bestowed in his generosity, of spirit, of friendship. His legacy is in the many he helped and encouraged. Rest in peace, Max.

Tom,

I'm so sorry, we just found out this news today. While it is always sad to lose a loved one, I can't think of anyone who lived a life more fully than your Dad. He was a wonderful, warm man and I will never forget some of the great conversations we had over the years and how much I learned from him.

Dear Tom and Lynn,

On behalf of my family, please accept our sincere condolences. Your dad's kind manner and dedication to caring for so many will always be remembered.

I'm sorry to hear of Max's passing. I visited him last year with a friend of his who knew him when they used to raise money for the American Heart Association. He was always kind and thoughtful and loved to teach anyone how to play bridge. He will be missed.

I'm so sorry to hear of Dr. Max's passing. I was his receptionist in the early 1960's in the State Tower Bldg. He was a marvelous doctor and an exceptional person. He spoke of you both often with much love in his eyes and heart. He will be missed so much.

Dear Tom and Lynn,
I am so sorry to hear about your dad. He was my doctor for over 15 years, and was there for me for many, many medical crises. He was one of my favorite people.

Tom, I am sorry to hear of your loss. My thought and prayers are with you and the family. Gina Silverman, Manlius

Dear Lynne,
I was so sorry to hear about your Dad's passing, though he lived such a full and productive life. I hope you and your family are well. Please pass my condolences on to your brother and other family members. I'll keep all of you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

I was shocked to hear about Dr. Kutzer, although he lived one of the fullest lives anyone ever could. He made reverse house calls, actually having me over once when my stomach was bothering me. Who ever heard of a doctor doing that? He was a friend to our family, not just a doctor. He was the best kind of internist - - a master diagnostician. He was Syracuse's original Dr. House. You could call from work with the weirdest array of symptoms, and he'd practically diagnose you over the...
