Not sure what to say?

Dr. Michaels was a Godsend to my family. Our young son was a toddler with severe asthma, when we relocated to San Antonio. Dr. Michaels went above and beyond, teaching me how to manage his care, viewing his nasal swabs under a microscope, educating me on The Mothers of Asthmatics group and newsletters (this was pre-internet and social media) and Camp Broncho opportunities for him. He was always thoughtful, insightful and we were so blessed to have had him care for our son.

It sadness me he is gone
I was patient and staff worker, and I just found out, I wish the best and my condolences to family, he was a fantastic doctor, he knew his medicine.

Dr. Michaels did it all, and so nicely and respectively. He allowed my dentist husband to give me my shots at home. I always appreciated that. It was reassuring to see him in church and know his knowledge and leadership came from God. I pray for you, family and friends, that your pain of loss will lessen quickly.

God bless,
Patty Barry Locke

Dr. Michaels was the very best allergist I've ever had. He did it all and he did it properly and fully. He allowed my dentist husband to give me my shots. It was reassuring when I saw Dr. Michaels at church. I realized he had help from above in every area of his life. He was a blessing. He is missed. I hope the family's hurt recedes quickly. God bless you all.

We are so sad and sorry to hear of Dr. Michels passing. He was a wonderful man, a wonderful boss to my mother Tiny Macias. She is heartbroken to hear of this. He was so good to our family, especially when my father passed away. Such a gentle soul and outstanding physician. We will always remember him and that wonderful smile. Rest in Peace Dr. Michels. We will meet again.

Dr. Michels was a great physician and human being. He was our daughters' physician from age 6 and 8, until they left for college. He was always interested, calming and knowledgeable. He helped one daughter with a science project, and found a thyroid problem with another. They never hated going to the doctor with him, even when they were young.
With sympathy to the family,
Janet Stanton

Greg,
So sorry to hear of your fathers passing. He was an amazing man. May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief. Always, Wanda

Max Michels was a wonderful gentleman that I was privileged to call my friend. He was also my allergist for many years. He was exceptionally capable and had a very strong faith. He was extremely knowledgeable in a variety of subjects, and he had a wonderful spirit. He was a devoted husband, father and friend. I will miss him as I am sure his family and his other friends will as well. He made the world a better place. God Bless, Charlie Granstaff

I first met Dr. Michels when I took my then 3 year old son to be evaluated for allergies. I found him to be thorough and unrushed during the consultation and exam. My son was started on allergy shots at that time and I was allowed to give them at home since I was an RN. At age 10 he diagnosed my son with asthma and my son continued to see him until he retired. My husband and I were also his patients. I am very grateful for the wonderful care that he provided, he was a truly special physician.
