Max was a solid man and he built his projects the same way.
I enjoyed having Max over to help me repair my barn in three different steps. I sold the farm and then the barn burned and I first thought of Max and how disappointed he would be. I learned so much from him as a carpenter and as a trusted and honest person.
My construction pictures will always remind me of Max as he is in several of the pictures.

Flora, my prayers are with you and your family at this time of great loss of a husband, father and a friend. You may remember back in the early 50's when your father in law, Harry and Max did a lot of barn work for Clarence Lavy, my father. I was 12 to 14 years old at the time and was helping with the jobs and how I enjoyed the stories they both would tell of past experiences.
