Max E. Timmons, 81, of Anderson, passed away October 19, 2010 at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie after an extended illness. He was born August 5, 1929 in Muncie, the son of Eugene and Beulah (Wiggs) Timmons. He graduated from Colfax High School in 1947 and lived in Anderson all of his adult life. He retired from Delco Remy. He was a member of First Baptist Church and served in the US Army during the Korean War. Max enjoyed being outdoors, working on old cars, going to car shows and watching NASCAR races. He was a loving father and husband who will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Chloris (Kelley) Timmons; daughters, Tanya from Indianapolis and Terri (husband, Richard) Foss of Bloomington, IL; granddaughter, Amber Conner of CA; sister, Karen (husband, Wayne) Patchett of Lebanon; and brother, Donald (wife, Darlene) Timmons of FL. He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Twila Waters. Services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Home with Dr. Arthur Jaggard officiating. Burial will follow at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery where military graveside rites will be conducted by VFW Post 266. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
