Not sure what to say?

Matt....just an old high school friend wishing your family peace.

Matt, My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

I will miss my grandfather. He was the best friend a boy could have growing up. I will miss being called ol' shorty. I am so thankful that my son Mason was able to put many smiles on his face. I know my family will keep the memory of my grandparents alive through us. Matthew(shorty) Dayna and Mason VanRaemdonck

The best father in law ever, and best grandfather. Max will be very missed he will live forever in his grandchildren and great grandchildren. I love you Max, and always have and always will.

What a great person Max was. My heart goes out to his family. Many people were touched by his musical legacy. He will be surely missed. May the good memories help those in need of comfort.

About thirty years ago Mark introduced me to his father at some kind of festival in downtown Flint when the band did a couple of numbers at Hat's Pub. Now, I'm not necessarily a fan of bluegrass but I can appreciate talent and those guys could sure play! My deepest condolences to the family as another WWII vet passes on.

Max was one of my favorites. He showed me some good banjo licks and as far as I know still has one of my old banjos. He was always kind, good spirited, and I always enjoyed just talking with him about anything. You'll be missed Max! -Kurt Kemp

He will be missed, but forever celebrated.

Max was a great person and banjo picker. Enjoyed seeing him at all the Bluegrass festivities. He will be greatly missed.
