Not sure what to say?

It's been 25 years since Max stood at the counter or came into the office at Bausch & Lomb Optical.Time cannot erase the memory of that big smile and laughing personality.Go in Peace.

Bye Bubba we're going to miss you.

Love Always
your cousin
Donna.

I grew up with Bubba, my cousin, and spent as much time at their home as my own. He was just enough older than me to pick at me and be a year ahead in school.

He was such a big handsome boy and we always knew the girls would fall all over him. When Elaine and I would have sleep-overs he would constantly harass us and laugh at our outrageous outfits and make fun of our trying to learn how to dance. Rock and roll was the big thing then.

One of my favorite photos...

love you dad. its a better place on the other side. i wish that i was there for you more.

I went to school with Max, fought with Max, made lenses with Max, and drank beer with Max. I last saw him at a service station and he told me that he was heading to Miami. I never saw him again -- and I looked for him.

Max was life itself, always smiling and cracking jokes. But, as an optician, he was a master. It was what he was meant to be.

People often say that they will miss someone. I feel as if part of my universe is gone. I cannot imagine a world without Max.

I WILL ALWAYS REMEMBER MAX FROM MY CHILDHOOD AND TEENAGE YEARS WHEN HE WORKED FOR THE BOWMAN'S AND THEN IN HIS OWN BUSSINESS. AND THE MANY PAIRS OF GLASSES HE FITTED ME FOR. HE WAS ALWAYS VERY KIND AND FRIENDLY. AND WILL SURELY MISSED BY HIS FAMILY. RESPECTFULY, MERRITT (RITT) THOMAS
