david and irene friedman of bowie, MD. We were members of ohavi zedek in 1956-1960. He visited us as newcomers in 1956 and was always there for us until we moved to Washington,D.C. from Rutland in 1962. Throughout all those years, we treasured his friendship.

Dear Mimi,
Iz and I have so many wonderful memories of Rabbi Wall. He was always open and kind and certainly knew our children, Bennett, Robert, Andrea and Jennifer. We were reminiscing several special moments especially at the Bar and Bat Mitzvah events. Whenever I picture him in my mind's eye, I see him smiling and sometimes with a subtle tilt of his head. We wish you and the family good health and comfort knowing that we think of you not only at this time but often.

Dear Mimi, Mindy, Naomi and Shira,
Rabbi Wall was very dear to me and my children Debra, Judith and David. He made it clear to me when I arrived in Burlington over 40 years ago, that as a Hebrew teacher it was my duty to teach-- at O.Z. of course! I loved attending his Mishna and Pirkey Avot classes and was flattered when he let me borrow from his unique stash of Yiddish Torah commentaries. To the Family of Rabbi Wall(BH). Growing up in Burlington, Rabbi Wall (BH) was the most accessable face of the Jewish community. Although I only met and talked with him on a few occasions, his kindness and humor was infectuous. He is a loss for all of us but he will surely live on in our lives. Burlington and the world has lost a good man. My warmest sympathy to you in your grief. Shalom

I am so sorry for your loss. Rabbi Wall was one of my favorite people growing up and though I've not seen him in many years I will remember him fondly.

Dear Aunt Mimi, Mindy, Naomi, and Shira:
Although far away, you are all in our thoughts and we send you our love. What a unique, wonderful, kind and loving man. Uncle Meir always filled us with his warmth, understanding love and compassion. Such a marvelous human being, loved so deeply by so many.

All of our love

Rabbi Wall was a huge positive influence in our family's life. He helped us raise our children and us. We will miss him. All our love to his family.

To all the Wall family, You are being thought about with sympathy, caring and love. I trust that your loving memories and the many gestures of sympathy will help ease your sorrow.

As a young person, I recall my father speaking of Rabbi Wall and his shared commitment to ecumenism. I will always remember the prayer Rabbi Wall offered in Hebrew at my father's funeral. I was greatly touched by the prayer, even without understanding the words. My deepest sympathy to his family and to all he served.
