Dear Family,
So sorry about the Loss of your Dad Max. He was also my Dad all through High School and College. He and you Mom were great role models for me and would listen to all my boyhood problems. Well, you Dad would listen a little then holler at me to get back to work! My life's work ethic was learned working at Baldwick. "Do your job to the best of your ability. Show up when you are supposed to and go the extra mile when necessary." Your brother Butch, Danny Downs, Dale Hunter...

Spent my high school years working at the Market. Max, Pete and Evelyn were easy to work for and with. Max's Kielbasa was and will probably be the best I've ever eaten. After school, while in the early years of my military career, Max was still sought as a mentor.

Ah, Max, my best buddy at Atria. The laughs we had and the stories he told will always be cherished. He was always so proud to speak of his kids, his work, and his beloved Eveyln. I will remember Max with great fondness and humor as I recall the times I would scold him about getting ants when he would try to dry out his lunchmeat on his table with the heat of the lamp. ha! Wonderful guy!

Max gave me a chance when I was very young. (13) Working in that store has left a lasting impression on me that has followed me thru my entire adult life.

I spent a little over 5 years in that store, being part of an extended family of sorts, with Max, Pete, Evelyn, and many other family and friends.

Max use to tell me, I should be paying him to work there, for the knowledge I received from working in that store.
