Max was an amazing individual surrounded by amazing family and friends. The obituary for Max was equally amazing, telling the story of his wonderful life and contribution to mankind.
Please accept my sincere condolences for his passing.
His legacy will live on.

Sgt.Wood was at the OHP Lima Post when I started as a young prosecutor and retired when I was a Judge at Lima Muni. Ct. Along with Sgts.Young, Reu and Schleeter, They were there each over 20 years and mentored many fine Troopers. Sarge was a great credit to the OSP and a truly fine gentleman. It was my privilege to have known him, RIP Max

Max was a Great Friend who I met while running with the Bath And Fire Department. I had the one to work with Him on Multiple Accident Scenes. He was a Great Husband to His Wife Martha, a Great Father to His Children and Grandchildren. He was also a Great Friend. And a wonderful Highway Patrolman. I really enjoyed spending quality time with Him when I went to visit him or Hunting. He loved to Fish. Max may be gone, But Never Forgotten. Rest in HEAVENLY PEACE MY FRIEND.
