Butler, Maxie (McNamee), baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection, Tuesday, October 20, 2020.
Beloved wife of the late Wayne J. Lampe and the late Robert H. Butler; dear mother of Christopher Lampe, Cathy (Ed) Stein, Cindi (the late Terry Lincoln) Lampe and David Lampe; step-mother of John (Trish) Butler, Carol (Steven) West, Mary (Jim) LaBelle and Tim (Mimi) Butler; grandmother of Elizabeth (Fred Hodgman) Campbell; great-grandmother of Nicholas Vanlandingham and Lyric Campbell; sister of Edith Behrens; loving grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend to many.


Services: Funeral Mass at Ascension Catholic Church, Chesterfield, Monday at 10:00 a.m. There will be a reception prior to the Mass at 9:00 a.m.  Private Interment at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Maxie was a vital part of our neighborhood community and will be missed.

My mother was one of a kind. Even though she was born in Fulton, Missouri, the 6th of 7 children, she found ways to stand out including making National Honor Society. When it became clear that Fulton was not big enough for her dreams, she came to the bright lights and big city of St. Louis. She entered Missouri Baptist Nursing School only to find that the were more rules and eyes than at home. But my mother was clever and found was to make the most of opportunities presented.
