Not sure what to say?

I always enjoyed visiting with Max at swim meets over the years. Your family will be in our prayers.

Dear Julie:
My condolences on the passing of Max. Remember when he and I took the Dale Carnegie Sales Course when you and I worked for Lincoln National Life on St. Charles Ave. back in 1971-1972? Attending those sales training meetings with Max is memorable and I am sorry I did not maintain contact with the both of you. My best wishes and blessings for you and the children to carry on.
Sincerely,
Dave Lyons

We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.

I was not in town when Max passed. I want the family to know that I cherish the times when Henry and I had met with our family at Legatus. Max was always more interested in my health problems than his own. I know he was at peace during this time.
God bless him and his family.

Julie,
I will keep you and you children in my prayers. I will continue to keep Max in my prayers as I always have. I feel blessed to have met Max and learned from him. He was a joy to talk to and be around. I know he is with Our Savior and finally at rest. Let me know if you should need anything.
Your Friend,
Roy DiVincenti

Heartfelt condolences go to the Derbes family and all who were close to Max. Although we have not kept in touch, we have fond memories of Max and Julie at Yale.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this sad time.

The nurses at Hematology and Oncology Specialist were saddened to hear of Mr. Max's passing. He was such a nice guy and always so easy to talk to. He will be missed. When Mr. Max would leave our office he would always say one word to us, and we hope he has truly found, 'peace'.

I had been deeply touched by the extreme love, strength and faith in the Derbes household during my brief time painting a sky on the dining room ceiling. I will never forget sharing a meal and chating with such a gracious, intelligent, peaceful and faithful soul as Max Derbes. My thoughts and prayers are with Julie and the daughter who shares my name; the only family members I had met.
I have only now, February 15th at 8:34pm, learned the news and I am too late to attend the wake. ...
