Maxine V. Gavette Hendricks

I am so sorry I missed her memorial. I loved Maxine and had so much fun working with her in cosmetics at Penney's in the early 90s when coming home from college breaks. She taught me a great deal and was so full of life. Much love to Maxine and her family. Maxine was incredibly special.

When I returned to Ukiah at the age of 30 I was pleased to make the reacquaintance of Maxine. She recognized me when I was shopping at Penny's, reminding me she had been my Brownie Scout leader when I was a child in Talmage! What followed was the development of a warm and fun friendship. I am so sorry I did not know of her illness at the end and missed my chance to say goodbye and tell her what she meant to me.

Sending you all peace, love and understanding in this time of loss. She has been an anchor to her family and community. Maybe we can follow Maxine's foot steps and "bling" up our lives and find beauty in what makes us happy.

I was so sorry to hear of Maxine's passing. She was a member of my mother's Thursday Lunch Bunch. Ironically, my mother passed the same evening. I hope they are both dancing with their lives in heaven together.
