Maxinne will always have a special place in the hearts of our family. Visits to her home were an adventure of sorts as we explored and swapped life stories while we together wandered the grounds she and Jerry cherished. Additional shared moments both big and small, when we had the chance to experience her kindness, spunk, thoughtfulness, and selflessness were cherished. Maxinne seemed always ready to celebrate the special occasions of others and was known to search a person out after church...

I remember with great fondness Jerry and Maxine. One year when I was a child, and our family was visiting my Uncle Leo and Aunt Ruth, I went to Maxine and asked her for an orchid corsage for my mother as it was Mother's Day. I was two dollars short, and she told me not to worry about it. She was a sweet lady.
