Paul Funeral Home of Washington Obituary

Mrs. Maxine Boyd Kinnion, age 81, a resident of Blounts Creek, NC died Friday February 12, 2021 at Grantsbrook Nursing Center in Grantsboro.

Due to the current pandemic a private memorial service, for family, will be held later at Warren Memorial Cemetery of Blounts Creek.

Mrs. Kinnion was born in Beaufort County on November 5, 1939, daughter of the late George Allen Boyd, Sr., and the late Alice Winiford Lee Boyd.  She was a 1957 graduate of Aurora High School.  On April 12, 1958 she married William “Billy” Earl Kinnion who preceded her in death on April 7, 1989.  She dedicated her time as a homemaker who also worked some in the Cosmetology field.  Mrs. Kinnion loved the outdoors and never knew a stranger, which inspired her to be able to talk to anyone.  She worshiped her God at Edward Christian Church.

Survivors include a son: William Patrick Kinnion and wife Micki of Blounts Creek and a sister: Opel Rowe Nixon of Blounts Creek. She was predeceased along with her parents and husband by two brothers: George Allen Boyd and George Allen Rowe.

In lieu of flowers the family kindly asks for memorial contributions be made to Edward Christina Church, P.O. Box 67, Edward, NC 27821.
