Maxine Short Lofton

Maxine Short Lofton, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away at her home early Thursday, June 22, 2017 at the age of 81. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs on Tuesday, June 27, 2017 beginning at 9:00am. Rev. Carl Sullivan will conduct funeral services at 12:00pm. Burial will follow in Felder's Cemetery. She is survived by her husband, Larry M. Lofton, Sr, son, Larry M. Lofton, Jr. of Franklinton, daughter, Kaylen L. Wall of Denham Springs, grandchildren, Cole Lofton and wife Fabiola of Zapata, TX, and Jesse Wall of Denham Springs, great-grandchildren, Justice, Ruben, Roman, Paulina Lofton, all of Zapata, TX, and sister, Mary H. Butner, of Sanford, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hayes and Ella Short of Moore County, NC, grandchildren, Dustin and Travis Lofton, both of Denham Springs, and brother, Lee Douglas Short of Sanford, NC. The family would like to thank Dr. Jacques Saunders and his staff at Lake Ascension Physicians and St. Joseph's Hospice. A special thank you to her nurse Heidi Mier, you are a beautiful soul.
