Maxine Manley

Maxine Manley, 76, of Benton Harbor, passed away on Tuesday, June 27, 2006, at Lakeland Regional Hospital, St. Joseph. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2006, at 1:00 P.M at Kerley-Starks & Menchinger Family Funeral Home, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph with Dr. Randy Doyle officiating. Maxine was born to William and Rinda (Palmer) Williams in Hamilton, Alabama, on June 19, 1930. Maxine is survived by her daughter, Pamela Platthy of Benton Harbor; grandchildren, Philip Hercik III of Baroda, Adam Hercik of Baroda, Ashley Wolford of Bloomington, IL, and Jamie Manley of St. Joseph; sister, Cindy Glasel of Otsego, MI; niece, Gwendolyn Webb of Palm Beach Gardens, FL; and nephew, Stephen Glasel, of Indianapolis, IN. Maxine was preceded in death by her parents; son, Donald K. Manley in April 1999, husband Donald W. Manley in 1987; brother-in-law, Albert Glasel; and thirteen siblings.
