Maxine Whiteside Martin

She was and incredible great grandmother! I remember when I would visit her she would always have dried apricots! Oh boy she loved those things (so did i!)! We would sit on the steps and sing nursery rhymes in front of her clock! She was so kind and always had a smile on her face! I miss her tremendously and pray that god stays with her in heaven every day! Condolences to Renee! (my grandmother)

She was my 5th grade teacher at Mary Todd Elementary. I remember she told us we were a slow class. I never forgot that statement she made. I met the nicest classmates at Mary Todd Elementary. Me and another girl in my class went on to become registered nurses.

Maxine was a lovely neighbor of mine in Greenbrier for many years. I will always remember her as an impeccably dressed, gracious presence, either playing Bunco or out and about the neighborhood. Rest in heavenly peace, Maxine.

My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Mrs. Martin was a dear, good hearted person. May sweet memories help ease grief in this difficult time.
