Maxine McCray of Pontiac departed this life on March 1, 2018. Mrs. McCray was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Emmitt McCray, Sr., Sons; Emmitt McCray, Jr. and Roderick McCray and her parents the late Mack and Ruth Ratliff. Mrs. McCray is the mother of Belinda (Allen) Herrod and Alverett McCray, she is the Sister of Ethel Lee Peters (Califoria) and Ernest James Holmes (Mississippi) and was preceded in death by her siblings Effie Leonard, Michael Magee and Cornelius Magee. Also survived by a host of other loving relatives and friends to cherish her memory. Mrs. McCray was member of Messiah Missionary Baptist Church of Pontiac for more than 50 years.

Mrs. Maxine McCray will lie in repose on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Cobb's Funeral Home at 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan. From 12pm until 8pm. Mrs. McCray's celebration of life will be held on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at 11am at Messiah Missionary Baptist Church 15 Mark Ave., Pontiac, Michigan. The family will meet with friends at 10:30am prior to the service at the church. Rev. Sylvester Thompson, officiating. Mrs. McCray will be laid to rest at Perry Mount Park Cemetery of Pontiac, Michigan.
