We were Maxine's special pieces of !!!
I remember the day we got our faces painted by Ashley's aunt,it was so cool. Also, all of the times we spent the night, Maxine tried her hardest to be mean.

I remember Maxine's laugh and her cheerful outlook on life.

I truly loved Maxine with all of my heart. She was a great inspiration to me and made me want to be a better person. Maxine always new how to have fun and was there for my friends and I when ever needed. She made sure we stayed out of trouble, but still being able to have a good time with us. I love Maxine.

I think everyone would agree that Maxine was always a fun, warm person to be around. Maxine was also caring. I remember when I was in 1st grade; I was at a Girl Scout camp when it started to thunder. I was terrified and she kept reassuring me I was going to be okay until the thunder storm was over. I also remember when Ashley had a birthday party at a hotel overnight. It was hard being away from my mom, but Maxine treated all of us as if we were her own. Maxine will be missed, and I will pray...

Maxine was one of a kind. She never met a stranger, and she spoke to everyone like she'd known them forever. She mothered every child she encountered- especially the ones that got into trouble, and ones that sometimes went unnoticed. One year when my daughter, Stephanie, was little, Maxine took her to Girl Scout camp and cared for her when I couldn't go. That meant a lot to me.

If ANYBODY ever needed ANYTHING, Maxine would be there with it, even in the middle of the night. One time...
