Maxine Hall Travis, 60, of Martinsville, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at her home. She was born on October 26, 1960 in Franklin County to the late Vernia Leo Hall, I and Sharon Martin Hall.  In addition to her father, Maxine was preceded in death by her brother, V. L. Hall; sisters, Justine Hall and Vanessa Hall.


Maxine is survived by her loving husband, Doug Travis; sons, Chad Rose (Betty), Scotty Rose (Wendy).and Nicky Rose (Jennifer); brother, Marty Hall; sisters, Tammy Kaufholz; 4 grandchildren; her best friends, Brenda Briggs and Eddie Adkins; numerous nieces nephews and friends.


Due to the governor’s requirements for Covid-19, a face covering is required and social distancing is to be observed.

I'm so very sorry, Chad. Your mama was a beautiful woman, and I know she'd be very proud of you. I'll be praying for you in the days, weeks, and months ahead. Cherish each and every memory, and she'll live forever In your heart.

She was a wonderful woman and she will be missed sending prayers to all the family.

Sammy and I have just found out of Maxine's home going. She and I share a birthday. We have so many memories of her since she was a child. She had a wonderful heart,wanting to help others. She will certainly be missed.

So sorry for your loss. Keeping all of you in my thoughts and prayers.

Aunt Maxine this all seems so surreal! You are definitely gone too soon and will be missed by so many! We love you!! Hug Mama, Papa and VL for us!! I love you!!
