My thoughts and deepest sympathies are with the family at this time of sadness. Maxwell was a very nice man and will be missed.

I first met Maxwell over 20 years ago and almost 10 years ago I came to work at Maxwell Shoe. Little did I know what an impression he would make on me. I had the opportunity to work with him and Betty and Margie and would listen to their stories and realized what a unique family they were and what a unique company this was. Maxwell attended my wedding and gave generously when my children were recently born. After his retirement he would come in the office and always made an effort to stop...

Honor and integrity have been the two words most used to describe the beloved man who founded our company since I became part of the Maxwell Shoe family. My thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time.

I am so sorry of Mr. Blum's passing and send my sincerest sympathy to his family, extended family and friends. While I have not met Mr. Blum in person, I have the privilege of working at Partners Healthcare and the Brigham and Women's Hospital, and being treated by their superb physicians and staff.
