Not sure what to say?

We just heard about Max. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Andy. He crossed the finish line with his white robe. A great end and a great beginning.

In life, you have friends whose parents become your parents. In this regard, I am grateful to have had Max serve in that capacity for me. Max's son, Matt, and I literally met as newborns in the nursery at St. Mark's Episcopal. As a kid, the Evans' home was like my second home. Max was one of the smartest and kindest humans I ever met. Max was one of those guys you could always count on! He will be missed!!

I so appreciate Max as a steady Christian "soldier" and a friend .. grateful for your example and the fun times surrounding Cursillo. Always felt safe and embraced by max and Andy

Deepest sympathy and prayers to Andy and family in the passing of your true servant of God. To God be glory for the life he lived.

Dear Andy, I am very saddened to read of Max's passing. Our St. Mark's days were more full and happy because of y'all's friendship. You and Max were far better bridge players than we! I recall those times fondly. Thank you for publishing this obituary cronicling Max's storied career. He was a very fine man indeed. Best regards to you and yours, Charley Jewett

To a wonderful man I had the luxury of playing rugby with all over the world and was a great leader. You will be missed and my best regards to your family from Mark Speer
