Not sure what to say?

May Gruber was an awesome person to work for. She thought of us on really hot days and had the Cafeteria workers bring us lemonade. I met her one day at Sacred Heart Hospital in the stair well as I was going up to see my grandmother and she was coming from visiting one of the supervisors at Pandora Factory Mill.

I worked at Pandora from 1978-82 as a teenager 20-ish.. I remember Mrs. Gruber walking down Commercial St.to visit the mill and the workers. She was always friendly and fashionably dressed. She always made me smile. At such a young age, I admired this older woman who dressed well and walked everywhere she went. I have never forgotten her. She lived an incredible and satisfying life. God bless her.

Mrs. Gruber, you were my inspiration when I worked at Pandora. The opportunity you gave me opened many doors and endorsed my determination to be myself. I've thought of you often and always with admiration and wonder. Thank You. Sweet dreams!

Mrs.Gruber, I will never forget your kindness to one of my students when he wished to attend NYU. You were so wonderful. That young man graduated with honors and acclaim and today is in California doing work that is important in his field. I will never forget your kindness and concern for my student even though you did not know me when I asked you for help for him. May you rest in peace for all the good works you have done.
Mrs. Somma former West High teacher
