Not sure what to say?

Dear Danit and David,
We just found out about the accident ( this is Stephanie Funk and Anna Katya Funk) and wanted to tell you that we are sorry about what happened. We miss you all including "Cookie" and we'll try to visit you soon.
- Your old neighbors,
Stephanie and Katya

Dani:

Although we've just met I will keep your family in my prayers. Angel Maya will be standing beside each of you - guiding you - throughout your life.

Love, Micke

I am one of the Chicago Police officers who handled Maya's accident. I have made it one of my missions to police Maya's & other intersections & to strictly enforce stop sign & yielding to pedestrian violations. I place a "Remember Maya" sticker on each of those violator's tickets. I hope to never have to handle another accident such as Maya's. I am sorry for your loss and I only wish I could have been there to prevent it.

Today is a Stop For Maya Day!

Dear Hirsch Family,
My heart is sadden by the grief you have experienced over the past year. You are truly a remarkable family. Your family has touched mine. I talk fondly of your family. I shared with my six year old, Jay (my second son, named after Maya's grandfather: Jay Hirsch) the grief I felt over your loss. We prayed for you and he reassured me with great conviction that Maya was without any pain in Heaven and playing with her grandfather. My God keep you and comfort you.

Dear David, Danit & Family -

Our hearts have been with you over the past year since Maya's death. We lived in Lakeview until recently, have small kids, and have many friends whose kids attend CJDS. We have always felt a connection to you and your loss. We hope that you continue to be strong, and that each day gets a little easier.

Dear Dr. Hirsch and family,
I am so sorry about Maya, and I know how difficult the grieving process can be. I wanted to thank Dr. Hirsch for all his help when I saw him for therapy, and hope that all of you have people you can talk to.

Mr. & Mrs. Hirsch, Gabriel, and Ben,

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family every day. Maya was a beautiful little girl. May your days be filled with the memories of her amazing smile and contagious laughter.

Dear Danit and Family,

We don't you either but we do know Maya would've been in our son's class this year at CJDS. We think of your daughter often through wonderful stories we have heard from other people. I lost somebody close very early in life and all I can say is the pain will ease over time and you will be happy again. You will never forget Maya or her memories and she is there right with you everywhere you go. All our love to you and your family.
