Not sure what to say?

Think about you all the time, you were a dear friend. RIP Dr. Amelon

Just found out about Dr. Amalon. What a nice man he was & a great back adjuster too. So sorry to the family for the loss of their father.

Still think about you Doctor Maynard Amelon, you were not only my Doctor for many years, but a great friend. RIP

I just found out Dr. Amelon has passed while I was trying to find Mitzi. I am so sorry to hear this. He was my doctor from 1953 until he retired. He was themost caring doctor and family friend. He came to out home if we were unable to go to his office and did so many extra things that most doctors don't normally do. I'll never find another doctor like him. I've often bragged about him to my friends. Mitzi was my doctor after he retired but I lost contact with her. He raised wonderful...

There is not enough I can say about this man. I was his patient before I was a year old. He put my first stitches in, he made me feel better when I was sick. I had a chance to work for him for a little over a year. In that time I learned so much. He was a fantastic doctor with an amazing memory. I will always feel honored and privileged to have know him. My deepest condolences to the family and friends he left behind. I will miss you forever doc.
Sincerely James R Walker

Our thoughts and prayers to the Family, we have truly lost a great man. RIP From the Kitchen Family

When I think of my ol' friend, Maynard, I see the doors fly open in the Clubhouse and him coming
through...whether walking on his own, with a cane, with a walker, or being pushed in a wheel-chair......
A big smile beaming on his face and remarks for anyone within range. We would meet, shake hands, hug and spit out something rude to one another. Following Tai Chi, after everyone had hugged him, pecked his cheek, shook his hand or patted his shoulder.....he would then, join me and...

MY INITIAL INTRODUCTION TO THE MOA LEADERSHIP WAS THROUGH MAYNARD ON THE EDUCATION COMMITTEE WHICH HE CHAIRED, WHICH EVENTUALY LED ME TO THE MOA PRESIDENCY. WHAT A GREAT ROLE MODEL AND A GIANT OF A MAN/OSTEOPATHIC PHYSICIAN. MY CONDOLENCES AND BLESSINGS TO HIS FAMILY....

So sorry to the Amelon Family. I have known Mitzi Amelin, DO, Since I was in medical school at Kirksville in the organization of the student osteopathic medical Association. I then did my internship with her at Garden City Hospital. I also did my medicine residency there while she was in her family practice residency at that institution. Dr. Maynard Amelon is the patriarch of a great osteopathic family tradition which helps to build the great osteopathic family found in southeastern...
