Not sure what to say?

Hello Family, so sorry to hear of the loss of Maynard. I learned while at another funeral, ugh. I send a hug to Arn and a special hug to Shelly. I remember years ago all the fun we had. Pastor was such a blessing (from Northland). Martha Goetz (Kinney/Smith)

My father was the pastor at First Baptist Church of Cedar Springs in the 1950s - 1970s. Maynard was the youth minister in the late 1960s, He and Ann were newly married and this was his first pastorate (I think). They were an important help to my father and the church congregation and a kind and loving couple. I remember them well and my prayers for Ann and the family.

Thank you, Ann, for sharing your kind, comforting and godly shepherd husband with so many and for so many years. Our family so appreciated his officiating both of our parents home-goings whom they chose. Many thoughts, prayers and blessings for you and your family.

I had the privilege to serve on the board of Bible Tracts, Inc. with Bro. Belt. We shared emails about life and ministry several times a year, especially close to the publication of his book and his Barnabas commentaries. What a tremendous friend and servant of God. I am praying for your family. Joey Watt Peoria, IL

No words can describe this immense loss! To Ann and family and all so close to Maynard, may God's love be your strength and comfort as HE sees you through these difficult days!

Ann & Family, So sorry for your loss. I had just talk with him a couple of weeks ago, but he had been on my mind for a week or more but being a flawed human, I did not call. Maynard was special to our family specially my dad. He very important to me also being an adviser and the tour guide on my walk with the lord, I will miss him, and opur talks on the phone and in person. I have a couple of his books which I will cherish even more. May the peace of the Lord be with you and your family.

So sorry for your loss, Ann and family. Trust you will be comforted by your many wonderful memories and the assurance of knowing Maynard though absent from the body is present with the Lord and being reunited with him one day in glory! Love and prayers for your family.

My prayers and sympathy to all who grieve the loss of Maynard. I saw his name and thought of how much my late-father, Charles Jones (a Baptist pastor) spoke respectfully and with kindness about Maynard. He was highly revered and did everything well and for God. Well done, Maynard Belt!

It was a great privilege to know Maynard (even to count him among our good friends), and we share the sorrow of missing him with Ann, Shelly and the rest of the family. He was a real gentleman, exemplary in his Christian faith, and a real encourager -- faithful to the end!
