Not sure what to say?

To Carlton, Maynard, Crystal and Byron,

I met your father 20 years ago when I moved to DC and began working in Single Family Housing. I will always remember his smile. He was kind, caring and loving with such a big heart to help anyone who needed him. I had no family here, but he took time out to help me adjust. He taught me so much about life and loving myself and he introduced me to DC and all it has to offer. He held my hand and prayed with me through difficult times and treated...

I met Maynard in 1974 as a 1st year student at ASL. Maynard impressed me with his quiet demeanor and self-confidence. I have not seen or spoken with him in years. He is a strong spirit and I am honored to have met and studied with him.

I just turned to the computer to check on my dear old friend today and learned of his passing. He and I would do that-- be it him stopping at my 1st law office here in Dayton over 20 yrs ago or my getting H.U.D advice from him. We met as Antioch S. of L. classmates in '74 and have remained forever friends. Always kind words from Maynard, I send my heartfelt condolences to his family in return. He has made me aware of my own mortality....

To the Curry Family,
I am sorry to hear of your loss. I pray you will allow GOD to comfort you. God Bless, you will be in our prayers.

The Gaskins Family

To the Curry Family,

I was shocked and saddened to learn of Maynard's passing. I've known Maynard since I've been at HUD. I know there are no words that can truly comfort you at this time but know that you all have my deepest and sincerest sympathies on Maynard's passing. He was a sweet man and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

I offer my deepest condolences and prayers to the Curry family. Maynard was my fraternity brother and friend. He lived a good life on earth and now will be raised up to live out an eternity. God Bless you all.

Maynard was in the Antioch class of 77, I was in the 78 class. We were small, but everyone knew each other. What I remember most about him is that bright smile and pleasant personality. I saw him at his 30th Renuion and he shared with me the special moments and excitment of his children and their accomplishment. He is with God now, and we all know he has received his rightful room in the Mansion. He's in God's protective arms now, where he will enjoy peaceful and eternal rest. God bless...

Seeing Maynard was a bright spot of any day. He was a pleasure to work with, and an inspiration. I enjoyed working with him and for him immensely. He and his family are in my family's thoughts and prayers. Baruch atah Adonai rofeh choleh amo Yisrael (prayer for healing).

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I was a student with Maynard at ASL and in the same class as him. While I had not seen him for awhile, when I read the post of Robert Mandel I thought that is how I remembered Maynard. A person with a great sense of humor, a smile that lit up the room and a big heart. The world certainly could use more people like hime.
