Want to express my condolences to Linda, Lee(Tony) and extended family. Maynard was a wonderful person and friend. He will be sorely missed by all who knew him. Maynard had a way to always make you feel good and loved. I can picture his big grin right now. God Bless Linda and family.

Maynard was an assistant baseball coach with Jonesboro Midget League, along with the late Harrell Phillips, in 1971. Coach Phillips trusted me in center field (though I usually played right field). But Coach Maynard trusted me playing second base! What an honor! I wasn't all that good, but I got my first chances with these guys. After seeing so many kids, I'm sure it's hard to keep track of every single one of them. But, rest assured, the kids, especially this one, never forgot those times to...
