Maynard was born on December 2, 1929 and passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2016. Maynard was a resident of Girard, Pennsylvania at the time of his passing. My sympathies to the entire Sanders family. My dad, "Butch" Silverthorn, spoke of Maynard as a friend, classmate, fellow Jacket football player and Marine in the Korean War. He will be sadly missed.
