McRae Hower, 70, of Bangor, PA passed away Friday, August 9th, at St. Luke's Hospital - Anderson Campus, Easton, PA.


McRae was born in Easton, PA on December 13, 1953, a son of the late Raymond C. Hower, Sr. and Dorothy (Buskirk) Hower Hunt.


He was employed as an auto mechanic for various auto repair shops in the Slate Belt area. McRae was a 1972 graduate of Bangor High School. He was a member of the Blue Mountain Rod and Gun Club, enjoyed antiques, and tinkering with older vehicles.


McRae is survived by two daughters, Carly Hower, and Robin Smithwick, wife of Allen, a sister, Cheryl Hower, a half brother Raymond C. Hower, Jr., husband of Trish, a granddaughter Amanda Petricelli, wife of Joel, 2 great-granddaughters Angela and Aliya Petricelli, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister Geneieve Hower.


Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, August 13th at Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville" Bangor, PA. Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 10 to 11 AM on Tuesday, August 13th at the funeral home Burial will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Plainfield Twp., PA.
