McRay Magleby

Remembering dear Uncle Mac today. Its hard to believe that, in four more days, it will be seven years since his passing. What a sweet and gentle man he was to me, my brother and sister when we were children. My family moved from Utah to California when I was four; however, as an adult, I enjoyed visits with Uncle Mac and Aunt Florence in Utah as often as possible. It is with the fondest of memories and much love that I remember him today.

Back in 1967 Mister Magleby was--I believe--my Driver's Ed teacher at South High School in Salt Lake School District. I had some special treatment and took classes on Saturday for our driving experiences because of sports during the week. The thing that always struck me was his mild temperament in some pretty "hair-raising" moments on the road with kids.
